The Austrian instrumental music phenomenon Exploding Pig, featuring renowned trombonist Luis Bonilla (celebrated for his work with Phil Collins and the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra), is bringing a fresh breeze to the international music scene.
Their genre-defying album "Jazz Futura", released on November 3, 2023, under the New York label Planet Arts, blends elements of jazz, psychedelic lounge, hip-hop, and lo-fi beats. Drawing inspiration from American pop culture, Exploding Pig crafts an unmistakable sound that merges deep grooves, gritty textures, and an irresistible psychedelic atmosphere. With backgrounds rooted in funk, jazz, and experimental rock, the group’s members fuse their diverse influences into something raw, real, and refreshingly new.
